Leading mobile telecommunications provider Globe Telecom powered the recently concluded League of Corporate Foundations Corporate Social Responsibility Expo 2011, an important gathering of private and public organizations that support and promote CSR practices.

As the LCF CSR Expo 2011 official technology partner, Globe provided the laptops used during the registration of delegates as well as the presentations of conference speakers.

Globe CSR Officer-in-Charge Pia Angeli C. Bernal, likewise, served as conference facilitator for the sessions on Introduction to CSR and Engaging CSR External Stakeholders. Globe, an LCF member since 2005, continuously integrates sustainability in its strategy and daily operations knowing that its actions have far-reaching consequences. With the milestones that define its key leadership areas in CSR, Globe also make considerable contributions in solving key social problems, especially in areas where it operates.

The tenth LCF CSR Expo, which adopted the theme “Taking CSR to new heights,” discussed the changing environment of CSR while at the same time, challenged companies and the general public to take a second look at CSR to see how it affects the society.

Aside from knowledge sharing on the best and latest CSR trends, models and practices, the two-day forum also tackled the proposed bill on CSR, and conducted lectures on how CSR practitioners can improve their craft.

The LCF CSR Expo is the biggest annual CSR conference in the country participated in by different CSR practitioners from the business and government sectors, the media, and the academe. It is being run by LCF, a network of over 70 operating and grant-making corporate foundations and corporations which promotes and enhances the strategic practice of CSR among its members and the larger business community towards sustained national development.
