Petron receives Main Award from Management Association of the Philippines

Petron Corporation was honored recently by the Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) when it received the prestigious Integral CSR Award during the CSR Leadership Challenge 2011. The CSR Leadership Challenge aims to promote and recognize exemplary corporate social responsibility policies, programs, and practices of the Philippines’ premier corporate citizens. 

The Integral CSR Award was in recognition of Petron’s earnest efforts to make social responsibility an integral function of the entire organization and manifested in every aspect of its business operations. Petron also received the Special Award for Environment and Sustainable Development for its entry Measuring, Managing and Minimizing Our Environment Footprint in Bataan for the company’s initiatives to preserve and protect the environment and promote sustainable development in the Province of Bataan, particularly in effectively managing its water use and consumption, waste generation, greenhouse gas accounting and air emissions inventory, as well as its leadership in implementing the Bataan Integrated Coastal Management Program.

Ang. “Petron considers the major role of CSR in enhancing the value of our business.
