LCF CSRI Conducts Workshop on Communicating Your CSR: Doing it Good and Telling it Well

A total of 15 participants who were Corporate Social Responsibility practitioners and communicators from 13 corporations and organizations in the Philippines attended the Communicating Your CSR: Doing it Good and Telling it Well workshop held on 21 February 2013 in Via Condotti, Best Western Plus Antel Hotel Makati Avenue, Makati City. The event was organized by the Corporate Social Responsibility Institute of the League of Corporate Foundations.


The participants were welcomed by Ms. Kristella Gutierrez, Program Assistant; Ms. Jasmine Galindo, Communications Officer; Ms. Liza Revita-Agullo, Program Manager; and Ms. Helen O. Orande Executive Director of LCF.

The two respected and experienced resource speaker of the workshop were Mr. Chito Manigao, Director of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs, CEMEX Philippines and Asia; and Ms. Maria Montserrat Iturralde-Hamlin or Monette Hamlin, President of TeamAsia. They also served as the moderators of the workshop. The two resource persons are also active member of LCF, Mr. Maniago is the Chairperson for Communications Team while Ms. Hamlin is the Trustee and Public Affairs Director.

There were two (2) additional resource speakers from the media industry, Mr. Paul Vincent Mercado, Cluster Head, Education, Airtime Marketing, Business Development and Production Services of ABS-CBN Foundation, Inc.; and Jaylord Asayo, TV5 News Reporter.

The workshop programme consisted of five (5) modules and two (2) activities. During the sessions, the participants listened to the presentations/lectures of the resource speakers. They were also asked questions so they can better their programs and spread information about their organization.


Towards the end, resource speakers summarized the workshop and also shared what they learned from the group. In turn, the participants told the group what they have learned because of the workshop. Ms. Orande gave the Closing Remarks; and along with Ms. Revita-Agullo, distributed the gifts and Certificates of Appreciation to the speakers and Certificate of Participation to the participants.
