LCF Members Collaborate to Help Victims of Typhoon Maring

Members of the League of Corporate Foundations (LCF) worked hand-in-hand to distribute a total of 1,007 boxes of bananas to families in areas affected by the recent Typhoon Maring.

The premium grade Cavendish bananas were generously donated by LCF member Antonio O. Floiredo (AOF) Foundation all the way from their plantation in Davao and were voluntarily air-lifted by another member, PAL Foundation. Estimated at around 70 pieces per box, a total of almost 70,500 bananas were shipped to Manila.

The distribution effort ignited when Mr. Russel Barrizo of AOF requested for LCF Secretariat’s assistance in inviting other members to aid in the allocation of the bananas. There was an immediate outpour of support from LCF members and in less than a week, all of the bananas were successfully distribute to areas such as Laguna, Marikina, Caloocan, Cavite and more.

LCF members who assisted in the distribution are AMY Foundation, Andres Soriano Foundation, Ang-Hortaleza Foundation, MFI Foundation, One Meralco Foundation, Petron Foundation, PHINMA Foundation, Roxas Foundation and San Miguel Foundation.
