From 77 to 82!

Five new member organizations were inducted into the League of Corporate Foundations during its first General Assembly held on January 30, 2014 at the OML Hall, Energy Development Corporation. With this addition, LCF now has eighty-two (82) organizations as part of its roster of members.

MediCard Foundation, Inc. is the CSR arm of MediCard Philippines, Inc. The foundation offers various health-related programs and outreach activities to benefit and enrich the lives of fellow people. At the General Assembly to represent MediCard Foundation, Inc. were Mr. Luis Montoya (President), Mr. Voltaire Victoria, Ph.D (Executive Director) and Mr. Bryan Vergara (Staff).

NetSuite (Philippines), Inc.

Ms. Rhoda Navarro of NetSuite, Inc.

Ms. Rhoda Navarro, Global Employee Engagement Specialist, presented an overview of NetSuite (Philippines), Inc. and the projects organized by its corporate citizenship arm. The group supports various social enterprises across the country and the globe by providing donations, pro bono programs and social solutions through programs such as SuiteVolunteer and SuiteImpact Team.

Mr. Vicente Paterno, Board Chairman of Philippine Seven Corporation and PhilSeven Foundation, Inc.

PhiliSeven Foundation, Inc. (PFI) is the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of Philippine Seven Corporation (PSC), the official owner of the nationwide chain of 7-Eleven stores. Programs and services offered by the foundation starts at home, where they provide quality education, nutrition and healthcare services to children and poor families in areas that are served by 7-Eleven stores. Board Chairman, Mr. Vicente Paterno, gave a brief presentation during the General Assembly. Accompanying Mr. Paterno at the Assembly were Ms. Violeta Apolinario (PSC HR and Admin Division Manager and PFI Mancom Chairperson), Ms. Liwayway T. Fernandez (PSC Operations Division Manager and PFI Board of Trustee), Mr. Lawrence M. De Leon (PSC Finance Division Manager and PFI Treasurer) and Ms. Israelita F. Lequin – (PFI Agency Head).

United Bayanihan Foundation, Inc.

Ms. Layle Ancheta gives a brief introduction to United Bayanihan Foundation, Inc.

United Bayanihan Foundation, Inc. (UBF) is the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of the pharmaceutical company UNILAB. UBF focuses on the healthcare of senior citizens and achieves to provide them with a community wherein they are valued, respected and able to experience the joy of ageing. UBF’s attendees at the LCF GA were Mr. Lamberto Lara (Executive Director), Ms. Marissa Cayabyab (Finance and Admin Assistance Manager), Ms. Layle Ancheta (CSR and External Communications Officer), Mr. Carlos Gonzaga (Internal Communications and Special Projects Officer), Mr. Mike Ubiernas (Project Specialist) and Ms. Chandra Garcia (Admin Assistant).

WeatherPhilippines Foundation

Mr. Celso Caballero III represents Weather Philippine Foundation in its induction as new LCF member

The WeatherPhilippine Foundation (WPF) is a non-profit organization founded by Aboitiz Foundation Inc., Unionbank and Europe’s weather service provider mminternational (formerly known as Meteomedia).WPF delivers critical and accurate yet easy-to-understand weather forecasts to the Filipino community through their state of the art  Automated Weather Stations (AWS). WPF hopes to aid in the improvement of nationwide disaster preparedness through the service that the foundation offers. Mr. Celso Caballero III (General Manager) and Ms. Kaye Rosario (Sustainability Officer) represented WPF during its induction at the LCF GA.
