In the wake of billions of pesos worth of damage to infrastructure, agriculture and private properties, employees and executives of cement manufacturer CEMEX Philippines raised P200,000 for donation to the GMA 7 Kapuso Foundation, a non-profit organization that works to help Filipino families in the areas of health, education, poverty alleviation and community development. The Kapuso Foundation is currently conducting relief projects and town rebuilding programs in Mindanao where Pablo survivors are given food, medicines, clothes and building materials.

Kapuso Foundation head Mel Tiangco, who is also a prominent news anchor and TV/radio personality, expressed her gratitude to the company and hoped that more synergies will be forged between CEMEX and the foundation in the future.
