WeatherPhilippines and Globe continue to strengthen their partnership towards proactive disaster-preparedness during the recent Bohol and Daet AWS Rollout and Capacity- Building Training last September.

During the event, WeatherPhilippines trained Bohol and Daet mayors and MDRRMO’s on how to install the Automated Weather Station (AWS), and how to access their specific municipality’s weather information via

Aside from the programmed rollout, Globe and WeatherPhilippines explained that this partnership will make it more convenient for Local Government Units (LGU’s), who are affected by adverse weather conditions, to disseminate weather information more quickly among its stakeholders.

Globe also promoted the packaged information dissemination platform, exclusively offered to LGU’s, which includes weather information text blasts, internet connectivity, and specific community-tailored disaster response trainings.

The AWS Rollout and Capacity Building Training with Globe aims to ensure the public that weather information will be accessible through various media to ensure efficient, effective and proactive disaster-preparedness among communities.
