WeatherPhilippines bags Third International Award

WeatherPhilippines Foundation went home with the Yahoo! Internet for Good Award, given during Public Affairs Asia’s Gold Standard Awards held in Hongkong last December 4, 2014.

WeatherPhilippines was also nominated for the Public-Private Partnership and the Corporate Citizenship award categories.

This was the third prestigious award received by WeatherPhilippines from an international award-giving body, the first two awards coming from ASEAN Corporate Sustainability Summit Awards 2014, and the 4th Asia Best CSR Practices Awards respectively.


About the Yahoo! Gold Standard Internet for Good Award

This award is designed to recognise excellence in the use of the internet as an interactive engagement tool by the public, employees, community groups, charities or NGOs in promoting charitable, community or volunteer initiatives. It is open to the nomination of non-corporate bodies in Asia Pacific who can illustrate excellence in the innovative use of the internet for good causes.

The Gold Standard Awards recognize the relevant works on digital communications and government relations. It also acknowledges the achievements of governments, businesses and civil society organizations in finding solutions to common problems, and in communicating those solutions to a wider audience."
