|CSR Leaders Launch LCF CSR Expo 2012|
CSR advocates Transform the Business of Giving Back. LCF launched their 11th LCF CSR Expo last 30 May 2012 at the Ayala Museum. The event will be on 5-6 July 2012 at the SMX Convention Center.
The League of Corporate Foundations (LCF) kicked off its LCF CSR Expo 2012 last 30 May 2012 at the Ayala Museum. Launching the theme of "Transforming the Business of Giving Back", LCF featured the work of its members under the program themes of arts and culture, education, enterprise development, environment and health.
Classrooms were set up by each committee and children aged 8 to 12 years were invited to participate in activities led by an invited speaker. The Arts & Culture class featured freelance artist Don Salubayba who gave lessons on portraiture, while the Education class showcased a Knowledge Channel Foundation video-lecture courtesy of their CEO, Rina Lopez-Bautista.Villar Foundation president Cynthia Villar read kids a story on the value of saving and providence in the Enterprise Development class, while UCPB-CIIF Foundation president Edgardo Amistadjoined kids in an online interactive Environment class on recycling. The Health class featured a doctor, nurse and dentist who spoke about their respective professions.
A power-packed panel interview featuring seven CEOs followed the "classes". Sharing their insights on the value of CSR to their mother companies were Ayala Foundation president Luli Heras-de Leon, Asia Brewery COO Michael Tan, BPI Foundation president Aurelio Montinola III, Knowledge Channel CEO Rina Lopez-Bautista, PHINMA CEO Ramon del Rosario Jr., Villar Foundation president Cynthia Villar, and UCPB-CIIF Foundation President Edgardo Amistad.
