In response to the recent monsoon rains and heavy floods, the members League of Corporate Foundations (LCF) have responded in kind through relief operations, donations, and services:

1. ABS-CBN Foundation providing relief through Sagip Kapamilya
2. Aboitiz Foundation is doing simulataneous relief ops with other Aboitiz business units in Luzon and Metro Manila:

3. AES Philippines will be holding relief operations in the provinces of Tarlac, Zambales and Pampanga.

4. The Andres Soriano Foundation is donating P25,000 to Corporate Network for Disaster Response for its on-going relief operations.

5. Globe Telecom, through its flagship Corporate Social Responsibility program, Globe Bridging Communities (Globe BridgeCom) is conducting simultaneous relief operations in the following areas:

• Concepcion Integrated School, Concepcion, Marikina
• Mother of Divine Providence Parish, Payatas, Quezon City
• Holy Trinity Parish, Fairview, Quezon City 

Employee-volunteers from Globe Telecom and partner-organizations will be distributing ready-to-eat food, canned goods, rice, assorted clothes and drinking water to an estimated 5,300 families temporarily seeking shelter at these evacuation centers. Meanwhile, Globe has maintained Libreng Tawag operations in the following areas: 

• Victory Liner bus station, Cubao, Quezon City 
• Victory Liner bus station, Pasay City 
• Concepcion Integrated School, Concepcion, Marikina 
• Bagong Silangan Elementary School, Bagong Silangan, Quezon City 

Affected residents can make free five-minute local calls to any network, send text messages to all networks or make a two-minute international call at the Globe Libreng Tawag facilities. 

As of 11am, August 8, 2012, Globe service in Metro Manila and outlying areas within Luzon are normal, save for isolated service interruptions in areas submerged in floodwaters or affected by loss of commercial power. Less than 1% of the Globe infrastructure in the Greater Manila Area was affected by flooding, as the company has implemented projects to boost network resiliency and redundancy.

Identified critical service areas still flooded include Navotas, Malabon, Valenzuela, and Zambales. Globe is currently working at full service restoration in these areas. 

Globe field engineers and network teams are on alert and have been working 24/7 to ensure subscribers get uninterrupted voice or data services.

Metrobank Foundation Group Chairman, Dr. George SK Ty has allocated Php 3M to be coursed through Non-government Organizations that are involved in immediate disaster relief. MBFI Executive Director Nicanor Torres has initially turned over part of the funds to the ABS-CBN Foundation’s Sagip Kapamilya (Php 500,000) and to GMA’s Kapuso Foundation (Php 500,000). Next to receive financial assistance is the Philippine Red Cross (Php 1,000,000), the TV5 Alagang Kapatid Foundation (Php 500,000) and the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc (Php 500,000).

15. Toyota Motor Philippines Foundation has donated this afternoon Php 500k to the City of Government of Santa Rosa, Laguna.
