2009 CSR ANNUAL REPORT by Ms. Linda Atayde

Economic events in 2008 have raised questions on the state of CSR in the country. Social problems have made it difficult for businesses to achieve their profit goals and this is enough to make a business case for CSR. This is a snapshot of CSR 2008.  The figures presented are estimations and are limited only to results of a survey conducted to LCF members and PBSP projects reported in 2008.

While companies worldwide reel from the impact of the global economic meltdown, firms in the Philippines ask if there is room for corporate social responsibility (CSR) in commercially bleak times.

The League of Corporate Foundations (LCF) responds with a resounding “Yes!” as it gets set to hold the 8th CSR Expo from July 9 to 10 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
